Check the coolant level and top it up if necessary. Note that this is a rare event, and the fault must therefore be sought elsewhere before any control module is replaced. Damaged, burnt, shorted, disconnected, or corroded wiring and or connectors between the thermostat and the PCM. Remove the cap of the coolant expansion tank.
